MPL Association International Conference THRIVE25—
A Successful Global Gathering

The MPL Association International Conference—THRIVE25—convened in Melbourne, Australia, October 21-23, 2025, welcoming medical liability insurance, medical indemnity, legal, and healthcare professionals from around the world. The event was organized and hosted by Avant Mutual, MDA National, Miga - Medical Insurance Group Australia, and Medical Indemnity Protection Society Ltd (MIPS).

The day wrapped with a sold-out welcome reception overlooking Melbourne.

Day two opened with two outstanding keynote addresses, first from Enrico Coiera, followed by Dr. Dan Pronk. The program continued with panel discussions featuring speakers representing all aspects of the medical professional liability community from across the globe.

Day three started with recognition of the MPL Association International Defender Award honorees: Anne Ball, Justine Beirne, Andrew Blandford, Catherine Cheney, and Peter Kryworuk.

Day three continued with more outstanding panel discussions and concluded with a discussion, Leading into the Future, with MPL Association member company executives Dr. Matt Lee, MDU; Natasha Anning, MIPS; Dr. Lisa Calder, CMPA; Tom Griffithis, Miga; Tim Plant, MDA National, and Adrian Urquhart, Avant.
