State Relations

The MPL Association tracks medical professional liability (MPL)—related state legislation covering a wide array of issues, including traditional tort reforms, supplemental reforms, and alternative reform proposals.

Our Government Relations Department also engages with state insurance departments and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) on several critical issues, including cyber security, closed claim reporting requirements, governance disclosure, risk-based capital, and more.
