U.S. Legal Support Recognized with 2021 MPL Association Humanitarian Award of Excellence

(Rockville, MD, May 12, 2021)—The Medical Professional Liability (MPL) Association has honored Houston-based U.S. Legal Support with the 2021 Humanitarian Award of Excellence. This award is presented to individuals or organizations that have undertaken outstanding efforts to meet the needs of affected people during times of crisis or to create long-term change to improve the human condition.

In April 2020, when the pandemic prompted massive shortages of personal protective equipment nationwide, U.S. Legal Support partnered with San Francisco‐based SAVING FACE to provide homemade face shields to local doctors, nurses, and other frontline workers battling COVID‐19. U.S. Legal Support donated more than 3,000 deposition transcript covers that were used as the clear protective barrier for the face shields.

“In a time of crisis, U.S. Legal Support acted immediately and innovatively to fill a vital need by creatively repurposing transcript covers,” said Dr. James Q. Swift, chair of the Association Board of Directors and director and chair of OMSNIC. “These efforts filled a critical need, and this award is recognition of this company’s human concern, altruism, and ingenuity. We are pleased to honor them.”
